4th of July Cabin/Lake Trip

In early May, my parents started discussing a trip to the Curry House Cabin in Greer's Ferry for 4th of July. My initial reaction was NO WAY!  I am not an outdoorsy kinda girl.  However, I thought about it some more and decided it may be nice to disconnect from the world.  So, we agreed to go.  We left on Thursday, July 3rd and returned on Saturday, July 5th.  Avery had so much fun walking down to the lake, playing with MeMaw and GaGa, eating at the picnic tables, and shooting off fireworks.  Oh, and I forgot there was a petting farm down the road, so we took a visit to see the pigs, ponies, donkeys, and other animals.

Our Eighth Wedding Anniversary ~ July 1, 2014

John and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary on July 1, 2014!  We went out for a quiet dinner and enjoyed our alone time!  I am truly blessed to have such an caring, devoted, loving, and understanding husband and friend!  I love him so much more today as I get to witness his "daddy skills" on a daily basis!

P.S. I received a delivery of some beautiful long-stemmed red roses at work, which meant a LOT!!
