Avery at 11 months

Avery turned 11 months old on Saturday, May 18, 2013. She has grown up so much and is such a sweet little girl. Avery at 11 months:

• LOVES to walk
• LOVES to watch Bonanza and Wheel of Fortune
• LOVES to play with/read books, especially Maisy books
• Eats adult carrots, mashed potatoes, rolls, green beans, peas, and black eyed peas
• Watches and then mirrors our actions, words, and behaviors
• Singing, especially with Grandma
• Saying dada, mama, and baba
• Continues to sleep through the night
• Dislikes sippy cups
• Continues to dislike pacifiers-I may have neglected to mention that she has not had a pacifier in over six months
• Loves to play in her drawer in the kitchen

  

Into Everything!

Ever since Avery started crawling and walking, she has been more active and getting into everything, especially the kitchen drawers and cabinets.

Avery and Pic-A-Boo

One of Avery's most favorite activities lately is to hide behind the sofa and or to stand behind a wall and play pic-a-boo.  

Avery and Bath Time

Avery has become very mobile-via crawling and walking.  One of her favorite things to do is crawl or walk to the bathroom, especially when she hears bath water running.

Avery Goes to Toad Suck Daze

On Saturday, May 4th, Avery attended her first Toad Suck Daze.  It was abnormally cold (in the 40s) and rainy, but Avery braved the weather to check out the food and the people and to participate in the Baby Crawl all decked out in her Thomas & Thomas Toad Suck shirt. 

Although she exhibited perfect form, Avery was a little overwhelmed by all the yelling and the green stuff.  Without even crossing the start line, she managed to finish 3rd! 

After a long couple of hours of braving the weather, we decided to head home....just in time for the rain. 

Avery is WALKING!!!!

Yes....our little girl is officially walking (as of May 1st).  I define "officially walking" as taking more than four or five steps consecutively.  You can check out the videos. She walked at Mimi and Pops' house and at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Our little girl is growing up so fast!
